
This is All Saints Day, one of the finest, most joyful days of the Christian year. It’s the day when we remember and give thanks for all true believers around the world, especially those who have gone before us into heaven. Evangelicals often pay little attention to the Christian year (for various reasons), but this is one holiday that should really be a “holy day” for us.

Contrary to popular belief, the most prevalent emotion of the Halloween season is not fear — it’s guilt. As parents, we either feel guilty because we’re depriving our children of the holiday or we feel guilty for not depriving them when our convictions tell us we should. Is there a godly solution?
